MY DAY TODAY

Today I woke up to my first alarm 445am, and then turned it off. I went back to sleep and woke up to my second alarm at 5am and pressed snooze. HAHA. Then I got up at 505am got ready and left the house at 525. I used to leave my house at 6 and barley get in class at 7, but then I now have to leave my house at 525 to pick up my friend adam at 530... 535 haha. because he needs a ride to school now that he totaled his car. I'm such a good friend. haha. This is his last 3 week period and I want him to leave the school already so I pick him up. haha. then i drive to San Francisco to the California Culinary Academy. I usually arrive in front of the school at 615 and then get my daily dose of caffeine at the Starbucks around the corner so that I don't pass out during class. School starts at 7am . Today was my second day in restaurant production. We make the food for the Careme 350, our school's restaurant. It's not bad at all. I actually had fun. We had 20 covers today. I got to take pictures of 4 of our entrees today. I was on the sauter, pocher, & vegetarian stations.

At our station are these 3 dishes:

Pocher: Poached fish of the day roasted with yukon gold potatoes
succotash and chimichurri beurre blanc

Sauter: Scampi risotto with summer squashes

Vegetarian: Gnocchi al forno caramelized onions
tomato sauce and mornay

I took also got to take a picture of our lamb dish.
Rotir: Slow roasted lamb shoulder
with Moroccan spices and cous cous

I learned a new bean: the Cranberry Bean.
its beeeuteeeful. =)


This class ends at 2pm. After I get out of class i make my way back to the south bay and go to work in Cupertino at Park Place in the Cyrus Hotel. I clocked in at work at 315pm and drank some more caffeine and iced coffee. eek im living off of caffeine now. Tomorrow there's going to be an Open Bridal thingy.. whatever you call it.. for the hotel. So I had to make a whole bunch of stuff. My list was long. My list: Birthday & Anniversary Plates, Cupcakes (Chocolate and Red Velvet), Pound Cake, Orange Tapioca, Cheesecake, Warm Chocolate Cakes, Ganache Cakes, Mini Chocolate Tartlets, Mini Fruit Tartlets, & Carmel Sauce. I didn't finish.. So I have to go into work tomorrow which is good because I have to pay for my school loans!

I got off of work at 805. At school and work i was in the kitchen for a total of 11 hours and 50 minutes. My legs hurt so bad. haha. Forreals.. it hurt to drive home.
I LOVE SCHOOL & MY JOB. =)
thankful & blessed.

After work the guys on the line made me dinner
after i got this my uncle said i should have gotten the Park Place Burger.
it has pork belly.. since when was that on the menu?!
NEXT TIME! =)
...tomorrow maybe. hehe.

I shall take a shower and PAsSSS OUT now.
